Airport lounges

Four pay-in lounges operate across the two terminals. Booking online at least a couple of hours ahead is cheaper than paying at the reception desk, and each lounge has a maximum stay of around 2 hours.

The Liffey Lounge has a quiet zone and shower facilities. The 51st and Green Lounge, reached only once you have cleared U.S. Preclearance, has a bar, workstations, PRM-friendly showers and a hot and cold buffet, and is only usable if you are flying direct to the United States that day.

WiFi, charging and workspaces

WiFi is free and unlimited across both terminals with no registration required. Connect to the "Dublin Airport Wi-Fi" network. Printing services are available airside, and the 51st and Green Lounge has dedicated workstations for anyone with lounge access.

Shopping, money and other services

Both terminals have shops, cafes and restaurants beyond security, though the exact list of outlets changes regularly, so check the airport's own site for the current directory before you fly. What is confirmed: ATMs and bureau de change desks are available in both terminals, along with tax-free VAT refund points for non-EU visitors and free water-refill stations throughout.

Left luggage and lockers

Left luggage is handled by Smarte Carte Ireland, with a desk in T1 Arrivals (on the left after the main doors) and another in T2 Departures (by the American Airlines check-in desk). Both operate from 05:00 to 21:00 daily and also offer bag wrapping, forwarding and travel accessories. Indicative pricing from a secondary source puts a single bag at around €9 for up to 4 hours, €15 for 24 hours and €22 for 48 hours, then about €3.50 a day after that, but confirm the exact tariff with Smarte Carte on the day, since the airport's own page does not list a fixed price list.

Special assistance and accessibility

To arrange special assistance (PRM), notify your airline, travel agent, tour operator or PRM Assist at least 48 hours before departure. Assistance buggies run in T1 (covering Gates 101 to 121) from 05:00 to 22:00 daily with no pre-booking needed, and luggage trolleys are available throughout both terminals.

If you use a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard, you can request one through the PRM Assist app. It does not give Fast Track, but it does let you, plus up to three companions (one companion at U.S. Preclearance), use the dedicated Assistance Lane at security.

Both terminals have a Changing Places toilet with an overhead eagle hoist: in T1 it is before security in the arrivals hall beside the Click and Collect desk, and in T2 it is after security in the shopping area beside the washrooms. Guide and assistance dogs are welcome throughout the terminals, and there are Pet Relief Rooms in T2 after security near Butler's, and in T1 at the 200 gates. Ordinary pets need airline approval before travel.

Travelling with children and families

Luggage trolleys are available throughout both terminals, and T1 has assistance buggies covering Gates 101 to 121. Baby-changing facilities are available; if you need a dedicated family or play area, check the airport's own site before you travel, since this guide could not confirm specific locations.

Prayer and multi-faith rooms, quiet spaces

Both terminals have a quiet multi-faith prayer room, with chairs and prayer mats provided. In T2 the room is on the departures level, just before the boarding-card area. If you want somewhere quiet to sit rather than a place to pray, the Liffey Lounge's quiet zone is a paid alternative.

Smoking and vaping

Smoking is not allowed inside either terminal; designated outdoor areas exist landside for anyone who needs one. T1's Garden Terrace Bar has been reported to have an outdoor smoking area airside, though you should confirm this is still the case when you travel. Vaping follows the same rules as smoking.

Security fast-track and how early to arrive

Fast Track security costs €7.99 to €12.99 per person depending on the date and time, bookable online up to an hour before your slot, and it is available in both T1 and T2.

Since September 2025, Dublin has scrapped the old 100ml liquids limit after fully rolling out C3 (CT) security scanners: containers up to 2 litres are allowed, liquids and electronics can stay in your bag, and you no longer need a clear plastic bag. This applies to departures from Dublin only, so a connecting airport still using the 100ml rule may confiscate larger containers at its own checkpoint.

Dublin advises arriving 2 hours before short-haul flights and 3 hours before long-haul flights, with extra time if you need to drop a bag or are travelling as a large group. With the C3 scanners, most passengers clear security in 15 to 30 minutes, though early mornings (05:00 to 07:00), bank holidays and peak summer dates can push waits to 45 to 60 minutes.
